You can import call data from the PABXSoft raw data files (Daily files) though the Call Collector, Import button.
1. If you are running the Call Collector Windows Service, you need to stop it, then also close Reports if open, and then start the normal Call Collector. (Start>Programs>PABXsoft, or if the shortcut has been deleted, open Windows Explorer and go to the PABXSoft/Call Collector folder, which is normally C:\Program Files\PABXSoft\Call Collector\Call Collector.exe, or C:\Program Files(x86)\PABXSoft\Call Collector\Call Collector.exe, if it is a 64 bit machine.
2. If you are importing calls from last year then you MUST change the date on the computer to that year. The import function picks up the YEAR of the call from the current year on the computer. e.g. If it's Jan 2012 now and you want to import data for December 2011, you must change the year of the computer running Call Collector to 2011, and then, of course, change it straight back after you have finished importing. Be warned, changing the year may create problems with other software programs running on the computer. It is advisable to close other programs (especially accounting software applications) down first.
3. Click on Import and a Windows Browse screen will appear. Browse to the Daily Folder (normally C:\Program files\PABXsoft\Call Collector\Data\Daily or \Program Files(x86) if 64 bit) and double click the relevant Daily file you wish to import (they are all date stamped). You can only import one days data at a time.
3. Call records should appear in the Call Collector screen, unless you chose a weekend or holiday date where there may be no calls. Before you import any more calls, open Reports and run a report on that day.
Did the data appear in the Report? Yes. Good, close Reports and carry on with the other days.
No? Check the call records for the reverse of the day and month. (e.g. If you imported calls for 9th December, they may appear for 12th September instead if the DD/MM format is reversed).
If this is the case you can not import. Changing settings on the computer or telephone system will not help.
Email PABXSoft using the Contact form opposite explaining the problem and we will try and provide a solution another way.
