Installation of PABXSoft Version 8 software
1. Install Call Collector and Reports from the Web Download.
2. During installation you will be asked to select 'Purchased License' and then pause the installation to copy your license key, without opening it C:Program Files\PABXSoft. When you have confirmed you have done this, click Next.
3. Reports will launch automatically after you click Finish.
4. Complete the questions asked (Extension number range, telephone number) and click Next
5. Complete the connection method (Telephone model, Serial port or IP Address). Click Finish.
6. Close Reports and start Call Collector Windows Service. (Start>All Programs>PABXSoft>Call Collector-Windows Service). Click on INSTALL, wait a few seconds and then click on START, wait 10 seconds and then click on SHOW.
7. Make some outgoing and incoming telephone calls and see that they appear correctly in the Call Collector display screen. If all OK, close the Call Collector screen (red X in top right corner) and then the Call Collector Windows Service setup screen behind it. Calls will continue to be collected.
Once data is appearing in the Call Collector Windows service, basic installation is complete and you can now return to Reports to fine-tune your installation (adding names to extensions, creating departments, modifying call costs).
