Samsung Auto
Log in Out problem
The Call
Collector, with Samsung systems, will automatically change extension numbers
if a call is made
starting with ## with a number string following where 1 is the 4th digit. This
is an intentional feature for
hot Desking an extension where mutliple people share the one telephone extension.
For example ##5121929 dialled from extn 261 will change the extension number
from 261 in PABXSoft
Call Collector and Reports to 929
Now and again this feature can be accidently activated.
To cancel it, take an outside line and make an outgoing call FROM THE EXTENSION
having the problem
and dial ##5100261 where 261 is the true extension number.
(The '510' part is irrelevant so long as it is a three digit number but to keep it simple, always use 510)
If you can not
get that to work then do as shown in the Video below
Using DBView to edit the Extension table to remove the 'Used by' facility
This short self running video shows how to use DBView.
Please note that
when you see that the Used by column is edited from 929 back to the default
of zero
that it is necessary to tab past the entry and click in the next line.
If this is not done then the entry is not changed.
You will see in the video that we go back in again to check that it has changed.
Note:
This
feature for Samsung systems was removed on November 29th 2006, so to avoid the
problem happening again
please download the latest upgrade relevant to your version of PABXSoft after
you have fixed up the problem.
Upgrading will nOT fix an existing problem.
